- Aqualia, a water cycle management company in 18 countries, and NX Filtration, the global provider of breakthrough direct nanofiltration (dNF) technology for pure and affordable water, further extend their relationship.
Over the past two years Aqualia validated NX Filtration’s dNF technology through a series of pilot tests on various applications, including drinking water production and wastewater reuse. This led to an agreement between the two companies that forms the basis for the use of NX Filtration’s dNF technology in various future projects across Aqualia´s territories.
Aqualia provides its services to 43.7 million users across 18 countries, and is the fourth water company in Europe by population served. Sustainability and innovation are key pillars of Aqualia’s strategy and contributors to its success, and it was recently awarded the recognition of 2023-water-company-of-the-year by Global Water Intelligence.
Victor Monsalvo, Head of Eco-efficiency Area at Aqualia comments: “We are continuously looking for new technologies to address water challenges of today and tomorrow. With NX Filtration’s direct nanofiltration we can make a difference in efficiently and sustainably supplying high quality drinking water, and enabling the reuse of wastewater. Through pilot and demo tests we have now validated this technology in key applications and are ready to introduce dNF technology in larger projects.“
Alejandro Roman, Chief Commercial Officer at NX Filtration adds: “We are proud to be working with Aqualia and believe our technology can bring great benefits to our clients. Solving water quality and scarcity issues whilst also offering strong benefits in terms of energy and chemical savings, we enable our partners throughout the world to bring new sustainable solutions to their customers.
