GS Inima in Brazil agreed with Marquise Infraestructure, recognized for its large infrastructure works in Brazil, including the construction of the largest seawater desalination plant for human consumption in Latin America, located in Fortaleza (CE), the purchase of shares of Utilitas, a company that operates in the field of infrastructure works in basic sanitation, water treatment and municipal and industrial effluents.
This agreement represents the continuity of the strategic plans of both companies. GS Inima Brasil, with more than 30 years of operations in the country, with consistent and sustainable growth aligned with ESG principles, thus strengthens its performance and contributes to the universalization of sanitation in the country, for water resilience, with operational efficiency and sustainability. Meanwhile, Marquise Infraestructure becomes one of the first companies in Brazil to produce water from a renewable source for human use, with the desalination of Fortaleza, and reuse water for industry.

Utilitas, now restructured with the entry of two large companies, adds significant technical and economic capacity to the company. A fundamental contribution to definitively solve the water supply problem for the Pecém Port Industrial Complex, strategic for its location and its port and industrial development, and which will provide a greater guarantee in the water supply for the present companies and for those interested in establishing themselves in the place with the objective of producing green hydrogen.
