In line with ensuring the readiness of the environmental, water, and agricultural systems and services provided to the pilgrims, and continuing the inspection tours of H.E. Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadhli, H.E. President of the Saudi Water Authority, Eng. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Abdulkarim, inspected the operational readiness of the water system in production, transportation, storage, and distribution to serve the pilgrims in the Hajj season of 1445 AH. He conducted field visits to water service projects and operational plans in the Makkah region and the holy sites, reviewing their plans, preparations, and operational readiness to meet water demands and improve services during the Hajj season. He visited the operational areas in the holy sites and Makkah.
During his tour today (Sunday), he inspected the progress of operational works, project readiness, and workers’ preparedness. It is expected that this year’s Hajj season will witness an increase in daily production capacities available for the Makkah region within the operational plan, enhancing the ability to meet additional supply demands when needed, and employing smart solutions and advanced technologies to improve service quality for pilgrims and workers during the Hajj season.
He reviewed the readiness of strategic and operational water storage systems in the region, transportation systems, and supply chains. Concluding his tour, he confirmed the readiness of the Kingdom’s water system for this year’s Hajj season according to its prepared plans, and the complete readiness of the sector and its workers to serve the pilgrims of the Holy Mosque, making every effort to ensure the sustainability and reliability of water supply, God willing.
He added that this inspection tour came as part of the water system’s keenness in the Kingdom to contribute to serving the pilgrims, under the supervision and follow-up of H.E. Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadhli, and to enhance the integration of all efforts of governmental and private water sectors to improve service quality and delivery, in compliance with the wise leadership’s directives – may God preserve them – to make all efforts to serve the pilgrims of the Holy Mosque and achieve Saudi Vision 2030 in ensuring pilgrims perform their rituals with peace and ease.
