The IDRA Seville Summit stands as an unequivocal call to action, acknowledging the profound influence of climate change on our planet’s most precious resource: water. The Summit discussion will focus on climate change adaptation and explore the critical interplay between mitigation and adaptation strategies to ensure increased availability of clean water by integrating unconventional water resource solutions to achieve long-term water security. With over two billion people currently devoid of access to clean water and the alarming depletion of major aquifers, there is an urgent need to chart a clear path toward climate change adaptation through a comprehensive water resource management transformation.
The IDRA Seville Summit on Water and Climate Change is strategically aligned with commemorating the association’s 50th anniversary. This landmark event is scheduled to transpire from Sunday, October 15, to Tuesday, October 18, 2023, in the splendid city of Seville, Spain.
