DUBAI, The United Arab Emirates, October 22, 2019 – Yesterday, the International Desalination and Reuse Association (IDRA) was pleased to sign an agreement with Singapore International Water Week Pte Ltd. (SIPL), confirming IDRA’s role as a strategic partner for Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) 2020.

SIWW, organized by SIPL, is a biennial global platform designed to share and co-create innovative water solutions. Held from July 5-9, 2020, the event gathers stakeholders from the global water industry to share best practices, showcase the latest technologies, and tap business opportunities.

At SIWW, IDRA will join close to 2,000 water leaders and companies in Singapore. This year, SIWW will feature the 2020 Water Convention, during which water researchers, practitioners, and technology providers from all continents will gather and foster collaborations. As the world’s leading resource for information and professional development in the global water industry, and the only global association focused exclusively on desalination and desalination technologies, IDRA is proud to join SIWW’s efforts to promote knowledge sharing throughout the industry.

“The SIWW 2020 event provides a wonderful opportunity for our sector,” said IDRA Secretary General, Ms. Shannon McCarthy. “IDRA is honored to be a part of this initiative and encourages our membership to attend this important event, partake in the IDRA Business Forum and book exhibition space in the IDRA Pavilion.”

At the 2019 World Congress, Ms. McCarthy signed a strategic partner agreement with SIWW’s Director, Chew Chee Keong. This signing ceremony concluded IDRA’s Leaders with Community Summit, during which Mr. NG gave a keynote speech about Singapore’s innovative efforts and achievements in enacting sustainable solutions, both nationally and internationally.

As a strategic partner of SIWW, IDRA will conduct an exciting business forum and organize a special exhibition pavilion. Located in the midst of SIWW’s activities, the IDRA pavilion will showcase products and services, spotlighting innovations in the advanced water treatment industry, as well as providing a premium space for networking and knowledge sharing.
