TOPSFIELD, MA, USA, June 20, 2016 – The International Desalination and Reuse Association (IDRA) has issued a Request for Proposals to receive bids for its 2019 IDRA World Congress on Desalination and Water Reuse.
Held every two years, the IDRA World Congress is widely considered the preeminent global event on desalination and reuse, connecting stakeholders in the public and private sectors including end-users, solutions providers, technology developers and suppliers, service providers, consultants, researchers and academics, policy makers and civic officials. The Congress includes a comprehensive technical program and industry-leading exhibition, as well as IDRA Academy courses and plant tours.
Sites typically rotate between five global regions: North America, Pacific & Asia, Middle East & Africa, Europe, and Latin America / Caribbean. Recent World Congresses have been held in San Diego, California, USA (2015); Tianjin, China (2013); Perth, Western Australia (2011); and Dubai, UAE (2009). The location is chosen based on a wide array of criteria that includes country site inspections, appropriateness of venue, invitation and support by governments and/or IDRA’s regional affiliates, and interest in desalination and water reuse.
The Request for Proposals are due by September 15, 2016. All qualified and interested parties should contact Ms. Karen Zilinek at kzilinek@idadesal.org for further information and the full list of bid criteria.
