Boston, February 10, 2020 – The International Desalination and Reuse Association is delighted to announce it is currently seeking a host for the 2020-21 Fellowship Award Program.
The IDRA Fellowship Program goal is to increase expertise in desalination practice across the globe through collaborative, innovative research. Awarded to young industry professionals (6-10 years’ work experience), the Fellowship prioritizes information exchange between established organizations in the water industry and experts in the desalination and water reuse field, furthering IDRA’s mission of promoting knowledge sharing and sustainable desalination and water reuse practices on a global scale.
The IDRA Fellowship Program gives recipients the opportunity to work alongside a host agency, and generally lasts 6-8 weeks, with the fellowship’s experience and findings presented to the IDRA community.
Host agencies are well established organizations within the desalination and advanced water reuse industry, conducting cutting-edge projects on latest technologies. Previous host agencies include the University of Arizona’s WEST Center, Oman Public Authority of Electricity & Water, Kuwait Ministry of Water & Electricity, Singapore’s National Water Agency PUB, the US Bureau of Reclamation, and others. The Fellowship is designed to mutually benefit both the host agency and the Fellow, with the host agency, IDRA, and the fellow collaboratively designing the program.
Organizations and agencies are encouraged to apply by contacting education@idadesal.org today, with applications due July 15.
