IDRA Signs on as Official Desalination Partner for India Water Innovation Week (IWIW)

September 14, 2020, Boston, MA – The International Desalination and Reuse Association will help execute India Water Innovation Week (IWIW), in conjunction with Smart Water & Waste World and InDA as the official desalination partner.

IWIW is a 6-day webcast series created exclusively for the Indian water audience around different topics in water and wastewater. It will be an unmissable virtual event with unparalleled knowledge-sharing and interaction opportunities for all participants.

IDRA’s President, Mr. Carlos Cosin; Vice Presidents, Mr. Devesh Sharma and Mr. Alejandro Sturniolo; and former President, Mr. Miguel Angel Sanz, will be participating in IWIW’s series along with other industry experts. The keynote addressing global trends in Desalination will be delivered by Mr. Cosin. Mr. Borja Blanco, the Chairman of IDRA’s Technical Program Committee, will moderate the session which includes case study presentations and a panel discussion on innovation in the sector.

Experts predict by 2030, India’s demand for water will reach twice the available supply. In a country facing pandemics and pollution, IWIW is proud to respond to these many crises with a community of passionate experts and leaders, aiming toward a more resilient, sustainable, and healthy future for all Indian citizens.

“Through this partnership, IDRRA is pleased to uphold its global commitment to water sustainability and raising awareness of advanced water treatment solutions. IDRA is an ideal forum to discuss technical solutions that ensure clean water sources for future generations,” stated Ms. Shannon McCarthy, IDRA Secretary General.
