The Environmental and Water Consortium of the Province of Cáceres (MásMedio) has entrusted the joint venture formed by Tedagua and Majoin to carry out the operation and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs), outfalls, collectors, pumping stations, and ancillary facilities in ten municipalities in the province of Cáceres. The contract has an estimated value of more than four million euros for the five-year term.
The awarded lot is part of a broader project by which the Consortium will treat the wastewater of at least 50 municipalities in the province of Cáceres. This represents the largest contract in its history, with an estimated value of more than 21 million euros.
The facilities are located on the banks of the Tagus River, near the Spanish-Portuguese border. They have a treatment capacity of 3 million cubic meters per year, serving over 40,000 equivalent inhabitants. The scope of the contract will enable Tedagua to operate and maintain 10 Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs), 3 Wastewater Pumping Stations (WWPS), and 12 external overflows.
With the awarding of this contract, Tedagua reaffirms its commitment to ensuring water availability, its sustainable management, and sanitation as a fundamental human right, currently serving the needs of more than 20 million inhabitants in water supply and wastewater treatment. This further strengthens its national leadership in the operation, maintenance, and construction of water infrastructure.
