The General Directorate of Hydraulic Works of the Ministry of Public Works has selected TYPSA to supervise and control improvement projects for the Las Vertientes de Pua irrigation system, in the region of Araucania, in the central area of Chile.
This project is part of the Regional Development Programme called “Irrigation Impulse Plan for Araucania”, whose objective is to increase the operational agricultural area of the region to 26,000 ha.
The scope includes the supervision and control of existing works and engineering work for the implementation of one of a network of channels of 200 km in length and capacity of 3 m³/s, that will provide service to 620 farms in a total area of 8,000 ha.
With this contract, TYPSA collaborates in the development of one of the most important regions of Chile, through the contribution of our technical knowledge in combination with the local culture.
