Potable water is a fundamental resource for humans, but it still poses a challenge to reach every location. For this process, lifting pumping stations plays an important to secure the raw water is delivered to the water treatment plants. Since 1971, Compesa (Companhia Pernambucana de Saneamento) has been working to provide water and wastewater services to the residents of the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. The company is involved in various projects covering almost all municipalities in the state and maintains a long-standing relationship with WEG for supplying solutions to increase productivity and efficiency in its facilities.
For the raw water pumping station Pirangi 1, located in the city of Palmares, the customer acquired an E-house that will energize and drive the motors of the lifting pumps. This equipment will contribute to supplying water to more than 800,000 people in approximately ten cities in the state of Pernambuco and ensuring water security in the region. The E-house is a set of panels and electrical devices that houses control, protection, and power distribution systems, essential for the reliable operation of the equipment involved in the process.

To ensure a complete delivery, WEG supplied the equipment with the integration of electrical and automation systems, and also carried out the commissioning and start-up, including all approval services with the electrical concessionaire. Additionally, along with the E-house, WEG delivered the complete technical documentation project, including the structural calculation base.
